LONDON, October 10-Arsenal’s injury crisis is showing no sign of abating after Laurent Koscielny was forced to withdraw from the France squad with an Achilles injury.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has once again seen his squad decimated by injuries just seven games into the new season.
Going into the international break, Wenger was already without injury victims Mathieu Debuchy, Mikel Arteta, Olivier Giroud, David Ospina, Aaron Ramsey and Yaya Sanogo.
On Wednesday, the north London club were dealt a further blow when it was revealed that Mesut Ozil would be sidelined for the next three months with a knee injury after he reported for international duty with Germany with the complaint.
Just one day later Koscielny has given Wenger cause for concern after the 24-year-old centre-back pulled out of Didier Deschamps’ squad for the upcoming friendlies against Portugal and Armenia, although it is believed that his withdrawal was a precautionary measure.
A tweet from the French Football Federation announced that Koscielny is suffering from chronic tendinitis in both Achilles tendons.
