LONDON, September 15- Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany is confident his side can once again step up to the plate when they take on Bayern Munich in Champions League group stage action this week.
The Citizens get a fourth successive European Cup campaign under way on Wednesday, but face a daunting trip to Germany to face 2013 champions Bayern at the Allianz Arena.
However, Manuel Pellegrini’s men have happy memories from their previous travels against the Bavarians, winning 3-2 at the same stage last year to eventually help them progress to the last 16.
